Frequently Asked Questions

What Type of Sugars do you use?

We use organic cane sugar, it is minimally processed; the cane juice is extracted, clarified, evaporated and crystalized all on the same day. The result is a blonde-colored natural organic sugar. It is not refined white sugar! Unlike refined white sugar, it goes through minimal processing!

We don’t use a lot of sugar in our meals and we do not use high fructose corn syrup.

We use organic brown sugar, however, at times, we can only get all natural brown sugar.

Powdered Sugar:  We use organic powdered sugar in frosting for our cupcakes/cakes; however, at times, we can only get all natural.

*Corn-Free Baked goods will be made with Organic Powdered Sugar that contains tapioca flour instead of corn starch. Currently we cannot get this in bulk.  We try to keep Corn-Free Cupcakes in stock in our dessert freezer and we suggest that you custom order them. We make many other desserts that are corn-free. See our bakery page for more information. Corn Free is noted by a yellow dot that says "CrnF" in it.

Sugar Free:  We no longer offer sugar free desserts because the demand is not high enough.

Coconut Sugar: We know that coconut sugar has many great health attributes. However we do not use coconut sugar because many people have an allergy to coconut and it is impossible to contain coconut sugar or flours and keep it from contaminating the bakery.
